Inverloch and Rayle's 40th Birthday

We headed off early to Inverloch this morning as it was going to be a very hot day. We stopped for Breakfast at Macca's and the went on our first road trip in the new car. Ryder enjoyed the scenery and not once did he say "are we there yet?". On the one we saw some wind turbines and the coastal scenery was beautiful. Once we arrived in Inverloch we headed straight to the beach, we went down to this beautiful inlet. It was beautiful, there were sail boats, jet skis and familys just enjoying the beautiful weather and just trying to stay cool.

We headed up to get changed and head off to the Esplanade Hotel for Rayles's 40th Birthday lunch. I found it quite amazing that since it was her actual birthday the temperature was forecast for 40. We had a beautiful lunch. Once celebrations were over we headed down the beach again with Janine, Steve and Will. We spent a little while down there Ryder and will played wonderful together and did not want to leave. we said our goodbyes to them and head back to the car to start out road trip home, however just as putting stuff in car hear a horn toot and its Rayles, Maxi, Tess and Gus. They were headed down the surf beach and did we want to come, sure why not. We spent a couple of hours there and ended up heading back to Melbourne around 8.00pm.

As it was a very hot day today we went over to Nicki & Stevens around 4.00pm to start the celebrations. Really to go for a swim in their beautiful pool. Around 6.30pm the others arrived and we settled in for a wonderful night filled with great friends, great memories, great food. To bring in a new year which will be filled with so many more wonderous occasion.

Trishie's 40th Birthday Party

Tonight we helped to celebrate a very special person's 40th Birthday. It was a great night filled with great friends, lots of laughter and lots of tears too. The tears were due to Allan's speech, it was beautiful, then Steph gave a speech and the tears rolled again and then Trishie topped it all off with more tears. Once again happy 40th Birthday Trishie.

Ryder played in the pool for about 5 hrs his finger tips had like cuts on them from being in the water that much. Will update with some photos once i download them.

Happy 11th Birthday Ryder. You are growing up so fast, it doesn't seem like 11 years ago you came into this world. We have spent a nice day together just you and me. You wanted to go the movies for your birthday so we went and Saw "We bought a zoo", then had some lunch. We just came home so you could play with your christmas and birthday
presents.

Set out for the trip of a lifetime Ryder and I were setting of to Florida via Sydney. had a fantastic time visiting Animal Kingdom, NASA, Universal Studios & Adventure Island. Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We same with the dolphins at Seaworld Discovery Cove. It was an awesome trip but not long enough. already planning the next trip back to the States.

I had my 40th Birthday party on the 22 May 2010. It had taken a long time of planning so it was great to actually se the end results. I was ecstatic that everyone went to heaps of effort for dressing up. I was very surprised that we only had 1 Dorothy and No Tinman. I was dressed as the Ruby Slipper. A special mention goes to Petal our only Munchkin. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Princess Pammie for do a spectacular job in taking the Photos.

I painted a mural to go up on the wall as the back drop for the photos. I also had the life size cutouts of the Tinman, Scarecrow and Lion and also the Flying Witch.

On Friday we went to the the Show. We went with Trish and Boo, arrived at 9 and left at 5.30. It was a fantastic day weather was beautiful not too many people. One of the best places to visit for the kids is the Fast Forward (govt expo) It has heaps of free activities for the kids and is al about the emergency services and schools, The cooking pavillon has the BEST DONUTS - BYRON BAY ORGANIC they have a chocolate filled one OMG.

Watched some show jumping, frisbee dogs etc. Fantastic day out

Had a great night at Trish's last night. We Went there and I cooked a roast for dinner, while I let Trish sit back and relax. I don't get to cook very often and I love it. I loved cooking for Trish's family.

Today was my nephew George's 10th Birthday. So this morning i took him a stack of 3 donuts that i put candles in and took it to him in bed singing "Happy Birthday" to hime. He had a good day and tonght he had another cake and we sang "Happy Birthday again. He has had 6 cakes in total.

As I am without a car at the moment. I had to get up very early this morning to catch public transport to work. I took this picture when i walked out my door at 6.50am. To start my journey on the public transport system. I had to catch a Bus, Train and then a Tram. I got to work at 8.00am so 2hrs can't wait to get my/a car back

I used some of the new Masterfoods Home made Marinades - Thai one. I cooked up some diced beef with zucchini and made wraps with them. I thouroughly recommend these marinades they are so full of flavour.

Werribee Zoo

We went to Werribee Zoo on Saturday. I took my nephew George with us. This is the third time we have been. The two previous times we have had a Terrible time, didn't see many animals upclose, the safari bus had an accident. However this time we had a great time. As you can see from the photos we got to see lots of animals close up.

Today we went to Westfield Plenty Valley to do some shopping. From Kmart we got this Foam rocket launcher. It shot straight up into the air and goes quite high. It had this cute little animated person on it. Ryder is doing his tough face.

I got a new calendar for this year and it also come with a jigsaw. Ryder asked if he could do it. It is quite a details picture. I helped him a little bit but he did most of it. He did quite a good job. After the puzzle we started a Game of Indiana Jones Monopoly which ryder got for Christmas.

Today we dropped George of because he was going on camp to Cottage by the Sea. After we dropped him off I took my mum to Ikea, I didn't realise that she hadn't been there before. Needless to say, she loves it and definitely wants to go back without any kids. We had Ryder and he was being a bit of a pain.

We went down to St Leonards today to visit Nick and the Kids. We went swimming at this beautiful little spot, it is just perfect for the kids. Got a bit sunburn/windburn. The kids had heaps of fun swimming and playing. Shame we couldn't stay longer. Left about 9.30pm Ryder fell asleep as soon as we hit Geelong.

Today i spent the day trying to clean up the scrapbook room along the way. I made this to store my dymo (around the block one) and all the tapes that i have to go with it. Also stores the different font wheels i have. The tin is full. My scrap area is in pink/blak. So chose these old papers I had to match in

I have been doing my project 365 I am doing mine using the Trading card Page protectors that hold 9 )they are about 2.5 inc by 3.5) I have used basic grey aloder 6x6 pad i had. Also used the downloads from Becky's blog, changed colours to go with mine on some. A freebie kit from . Clipping mask that I download from Rhonna's blog too.

I am having a great time doing this Hybridally (not real a word I don't think)

Weekend post - Saturday

Well Saturday afternoon I met Trish at the Comedy Theatre to go and see The Rocky Horror Show. I have been a big fan of this movie and stage show for years. Trish however had no idea what it was all about. It was quite fun watching her expressions as she watched the Characters who come out into the audience before the show. The last time I went and to see The Rock Horror Show was in 1987 at the Princess Theatre. Thoroughly enjoyed this production of it too. No cameras were allowed so no photos. Ioata was fantastic in the part of Frank N Furter. Afterwards we went to a great restaurant for dinner called Little Malaysia. Lucky I didn't leave it up to Trish to direct us there (lol). Thanks Trish for a wonderful afternoon/evening.

I have just put together my first couple of pages for my 365 project. I am using the trading card page protectors that fit into a 3 ring a4 binder. I have also decided to use one of my Basic grey 6x6 pads. I cut up the papers into 2.5 x 3.5 pieces and used the corner rounder. they are all ready to go now.

Its sad I know but my Christmas Trees are still up, i am having a big clean out so i don't have the storage organised to put the trees away yet. (Plus they look so beautiful)

Am still going strong, with taking my photos I have taken heaps today as i have been scrapping. However the ones i am showing are of my new glasses which just arrived. Got them over the net 2 pairs for $107.50 (this included the postage) I ordered them on the 19th Dec and they arrived today so that's pretty good service considering the Christmas, New year holidays. They were from ausspecs.

The pictures of Ryder in the groovy glasses I took at Spotlight, while we were shopping. Ryder had some money to spend from his birthday.

When we got home, we put together his Marble run that I got him for Xmas. We had heaps of fun, had to make a few minor adjustments after the first test run as i had put some of the parts around the wrong way and all the marbles ended up going into the same one.
